Don’t be Surprised by these EHR Questions
It is exciting to roll out EHR software that will improve practice efficiency and patient care. Soon enough, you will look back at the past and wonder what took you so long to implement this technology.
Even so, you can expect a variety of questions with each passing day. This is particularly true as you get up and running with the software. After all, you can’t expect every member of your staff to be an expert after a few training sessions.
Here are some of the most common EHR questions:
- Why is “fill in the blank” happening?
- What does this error message mean?
- How do I print out a report?
- What is the best way to complete this task?
- Can you show me how to use this feature?
It takes time to become familiar with the finer details of EHR software. Some people are able to catch on quickly, while others face a steeper learning curve.
If you are the person in charge of answering these types of questions, you should never be surprised by anything that comes your way. Furthermore, you should never move forward until you answer each question in its entirety.
At some point, once everybody is on the same page, the number of questions will begin to die down. It is then that you will realize just how many benefits come along with using EHR software.
What types of questions do you have about this technology? Have you gone through the software implementation process in the past?
