An Open Letter From ZenCharts Co-Founder, Dan Callahan
“Never underestimate that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
From our team to yours, Happy Holidays, we hope you have a ZenderFul season! More importantly, as we have been reflecting on the year we want you to know that we are grateful for your support, belief in our system and your contribution to making the field of human service increasingly better!
As we close in on another year of exponential growth, adding facilities that two years ago were only a dream, here are a few things we are grateful for and aware of; Our goal was and continues to be to provide an awesome Clinical, Medical and Behavioral Health agency tool to assist with providing the highest standard of care possible. All of that at a great value! With over thirty professional years in the industry I knew that the field needed viable alternatives and we were willing to put our necks and reputation out there and on the line! We were keenly aware that a market with limited alternatives is apt to being fleeced and we knew that no-one wants to be taken advantage of! We are truly happy that we have stepped up to the plate, introduced a “Clinical Decision Support” platform rather than simply a “Digital Filing Cabinet!”
Our relationships with Nationally and Internationally recognized professionals like Dr. David Mee-Lee, M.D. the Chief Editor of the ASAM Criteria, Dr. Scott Miller, Ph.D. (International Center for Clinical Excellence) the creator of the “Evidence Based” outcome measurement tools, the ORS and SRS, John Ellis, M.S.W. (Recovery Consultants) & Dr. Roopa Crawford, Psy.D. Joint Commission (TJC) experts, Joe Richards, B.A. a Billing and Utilization and Review Wiz, and our “Brand Ambassador” Brian O’Shea as well as others, has lead us down a positive path to excellence. In fact, if you are interested in learning more about the TJC updated Outcome Measurement requirements feel free to reach out. We also have some mind blowing features rolling out (stay tuned)!
We’re Grateful for You
Of course, when you are striving to make a difference and stretching the boundaries of possibility, somethings turn out to be awesome while others not quite so. We are keenly aware that the perfection of theory is no match for the mess of reality! Yet, we were and continue to be willing to take ZenCharts to higher levels providing our customers with state of the art tools to increase their productivity and more importantly their level of care! So yes, we are grateful for the mistakes we have made because without them, without the drive to innovate and create awesome tools, we would be no better than the alternatives! It is a win for the field!
We are grateful that we made the decision to present our product and features via “Live Individualized Demonstration” rather than hiring high powered sales people in expensive suits that promised the world with no evidence or follow through to improve the product they are selling. We are grateful that we have chosen to focus on our product in a positive way recognizing that there is a huge community nationwide of service providers with varying needs, rather than pointing out the flaws in other systems.
We are affirmed of our gratitude when on a “Live Demonstration” we the comments are, “It would be great if it did…” and we respond, “It does, let me show you that feature!” or “Does it do …?” and we respond, “Yes, let me show you that process!” Yes we are proud of where we have come from and quite frankly, it is because of you! It is because you wanted it, and as early adopters, dealing with some of our mistakes, we listened to you and kept and will continue to do so, innovating ZenCharts technology!
Again, what we are truly grateful for is You! Thank you for believing in us, thank you for choosing us, and thank you for your commitment to saving lives every day! We believe in you and your work and are committed to building the tools you need to do “People Work” and not just “Paper Work!”
